Director of Planning and Development for the City of Kettering Ohio
Tom has been a professional planner for almost 35 years, currently as Director of the Planning and Development Department for the City of Kettering Ohio. He has held this position for 24 years and oversees a staff of 20 with responsibilities in community and neighborhood planning, building code and property maintenance enforcement and community development programs.
Prior to Kettering Tom was Director of Community Services for the City of St. Joseph, Missouri. He oversaw a staff of 30 with similar responsibilities including historic preservation.
Tom also worked for the Cities of Cupertino Ca, Santa Ana, Ca. and West Covina, Ca.
Tom has a Bachelors degree in Urban Planning from Cal-Poly, Pomona and a Masters of Public Administration from San Jose State University.
